What is an entity?
An entity is a particular person, place, or thing. In the context of Enigma's platform, entities correspond to individual records — typically businesses or locations — that you query or enrich through the API or Console.
How are credits consumed?
Credits are consumed each time you access data through the API or Console. The number of credits used depends on the attribute tier (Core, Plus, or Premium) and any add-ons you include. Searches, profile views, and enrichment calls all consume credits.
Do I need to manually specify the attribute tier?
No. The system automatically determines the appropriate attribute tier based on the data fields you request. You only pay for the depth of data you actually access.
How can I track my credit usage?
Your real-time credit consumption is available via the account dashboard. You can monitor usage patterns, see remaining credits, and review historical consumption at any time.
What happens when I run out of credits?
All plans default to pay-as-you-go pricing at $5 per 100 credits once your monthly allocation is used. You will never lose access — overages are billed at the end of the billing cycle.
Does using the Console cost credits?
Yes. All actions in the Console — including searches, profile views, and data exports — consume credits at the same rates as the API.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, the new credit allocation is applied immediately. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards for Pro and Max plans. Enterprise plans can be paid via invoice with NET-30 terms. Contact our sales team for custom billing arrangements.
